Manchester City’s Phil Foden quickly deletes Twitter gaffe challenging PSG’s Kylian Mbappe. Gary Neville called on players to take ownership of their accounts after the latest incident on. The rumours of Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid gained further momentum following his hat-trick against Barcelona in the round of 16 of the Champions League. As the young striker continues to put off any contract extension talks with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), his entourage has now issued an ultimatum to the defending LaLiga champions.

The Manchester United legend’s plea comes after Phil Foden was said to have been left fuming with a tweet from his social media team directed at Kylian Mbappe.
The Man City star scored the winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund as Pep Guardiola’s side progressed to the Champions League semi-finals on Wednesday night.
And soon after Foden’s social media team tweeted a picture of the 20-year-old scoring with the caption: “@KMbappe are you ready?”
City will come up against Paris Saint-Germain superstar Mbappe in their semi-final first-leg tie on April 27.
And the Mail claim Foden was ‘less than impressed’ with those running the account, with the tweet since being deleted.
The post did not appear to go down well with fans either as they wondered why Foden immediately called out Mbappe instead of addressing his team’s performance.
It led to Neville questioning why footballers do not run their own social media accounts, with Joe Hart another footballer left embarrassed in recent weeks.
I mentioned on here a few weeks ago about players having their accounts run by social media companies. Lads run your own accounts! Your independent thought and authenticity is at stake . It’s your voice , not anyone else’s. Morning by the way . Go and attack the hell out of it ❤️ pic.twitter.com/M997r8kbWa

Foden is now believed to have cut ties with the company managing his social media accounts.
Foden will still be on a high, however, after netting winning goals in both legs against Dortmund.
And the England midfielder’s performance in Germany resulted in high praise from his manager.

“He always creates something. He is dynamic offensively, defensively and in the small spaces.
“He is learning to make decisions. He scored two important goals to help us be in the semi-finals.
“In the quarter-final of the Champions League he was the important player to help us go to play PSG.”
On Thursday’s talkSPORT Breakfast show ex-Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara was waxing lyrical over Foden’s talents – claiming he is already better than Paul Gascoigne!
Watching him this season he’s really come to the fore and made himself one of the top three players at Manchester City,” O’Hara explained.
“I was looking at it thinking, and I know people always compare him to Gascoigne, but I look at Foden and think he’s better than Gascoigne.
“I know that’s a big statement, but it’s just in terms of the way he’s going in his career and the way he plays. He’s doing it on the big stage already and he’s just a kid.
“And to do it at Manchester City in a Pep Guardiola team and to be so young and dominating games – two winners in two legs in a huge fixture.

“I just think he’s better than Gazza. For me, Gazza was my idol growing up. he won the FA Cup, he won the Scottish Premiership – we all know that doesn’t count as it means nothing.”
